Anyone who identifies themselves as passionate about mental health, mental health enthusiasts, students from the field of mental health, and working professionals from the field of mental health.We are looking to join hands with people who are compassionate, persistent, self-motivated, and self-driven and who realize the importance of good mental health for today for the betterment of tomorrow!

We encourage volunteers at all levels who can give their quality time to support our various programs. Passion and skills of the volunteers aid in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the our services towards the community.

All volunteer applications are acknowledged by The Mind Research Foundation. The applications are then mapped with the requirements of the organization. If there is no current requirement, the application will be kept in our data bank for any future requirements

The information you furnished in the application form will be kept in confidence. Only authorized staff will have access to your information.

We expect that the volunteers engaged work in coherence with The Mind Research Foundation vision, mission, and objectives of the volunteer program. The volunteers are expected to follow The Mind Research Foundation code of conduct during their tenure of voluntary engagement with us and abide by laws of the land. Volunteers should give their feedback at the end of their engagement.

Volunteers shall be provided with a Volunteer Registration Number and an Identity Card during their engagement. Volunteers who have completed their assignments successfully will be provided with a Volunteer Certificate.

INTERNSHIP / PRACTICUM

The Mind Research Foundation offers a comprehensive clinical internship/observership program that provides education and practical hands on experience. Individual and group supervision led by trained professionals is key to integrating what you learn in theory and how to apply it in practice.

This internship opportunity is specifically aimed at individuals pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology and who have an internship letter from their university. Here’s a breakdown of who can intern and the training offered:

QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLYING

Interns and Trainees must have a Masters degree or be enrolled in a masters level program at an accredited college/university.

Trainee/Intern applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program and applications must include:

All Trainees and Interns are required to have a reference check prior to beginning their volunteer experience.

TRAINING OFFERED

The internship at the Mind Research Foundation offers a comprehensive training program that includes

Awareness and Education on Clinical Disorders

Interns will gain knowledge and understanding of various clinical disorders as outlined in the Program.

Exposure and Training in Therapy Skills:

Interns will receive training in therapy skills based on various therapeutic approaches. This could include cognitive-behavioral therapy, Mindfulness based therapy, and others ellectic approaches

Training in Counseling Skills:

This training may involve discussions, role-playing exercises, and hands-on practice to develop counseling skills.

Education on Mental Status Examination

Interns will learn how to conduct clinical interviews, intake sessions, and therapy sessions as part of their training.

Case Discussions and Studies:

Interns will have the opportunity to participate in case discussions, study real-life cases, and learn how to present cases effectively.

Interactive Assignments:

The internship may include interactive assignments to reinforce the knowledge and skills learned during the training program.
